H-Urban [Urban History] Discussion Network

By

H-Urban Editors

"H-URBAN [is] an international electronic discussion network. H-Urban was set up in February 1993 at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) in order to provide a forum for scholars of urban history. There are no geographical or chronological boundaries. The primary purpose of H-URBAN is to enable historians and others interested in urban history to communicate current research and research interests easily; to ask about and to discuss new approaches, sources, methods and tools of analysis; and to comment on current historiography. In addition, we will inform historians (and welcome from them) announcements of calls for papers and conferences, awards, fellowships, availability of new sources and archives, and reports on new books, articles, software, datasets and CD-ROMs."
